Ø      Successfully completed re-launch of service with expansion to 12 additional US Markets. Product Line Management including P&L.  AboveNet offers transport services for several key vertical markets. Responsible for the jabNET™ service which is a high speed private cloud, serving the content creation community which includes the major studios in Hollywood and the production, post production and finishing support companies. jabNET is available in 15 US markets and London. Controlware Communications Systems Inc

Ø      Successfully reorganized Sales and Marketing and expanded business into new markets. Key account management, and business development North America - Controlware manufactures and distributes network interface hardware for video, voice and data. As the Business Development Manager for Dimetis a supplier of software for network management (OSS) monitoring and control, was responsible for all new projects in the USA.  This represented over $1.5 Million in sales.  Hardware products are sold to satellite, microwave and terrestrial carriers as well as to broadcast organizations.  Hired as Western Sales Director promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing in May 2006. In 12 months tripled the sales revenue.

Manager of Business Development – MediaSonic                                                            2002 to 2003

MediaSonic, a division of Electrosonic, was launched in January 2002 to productize and monetize the Digital Signage, Stereoscopic Playback and content delivery software and hardware developed in house.  Responsibilities included:

Ø      Channel Development and Product Management, OEM Sales, Product Marketing, Key Accounts Management, Partner Management.  Additional duties include, new market identification and product and marketing planning.  Secured four OEM partners for the company’s High Definition Player technology and launched a new vertical market.  In less than 16 months, established MediaSonic as number one supplier of High Definition Playback technology for leisure entertainment and HD Dailies market.

 

Consultant - ActiveLaw                                                                              April 2001 to December 2001  

Ø      Active Law was an on-Line Portal for Attorneys and Legal Professionals.  Defined and implemented on-line business practices and procedures. Recruited direct sales team and signed contracts with attorneys who advertized on this web portal. ActiveLaw was developing marketing services and software products to exploit B2B and B2C opportunities in the Tort Law / Personal Injury business sector. Project consists of; defining sales and marketing strategies and tactics to reach attorneys and vendors develop a consumer online and offline advertising and marketing plan, and consult on consumer to attorney technology implementations.

           Lucent Digital Video – (April 2001 to June 2001)

Ø      Contracted to fill vacant Director of Worldwide Marketing; slot due to head count reduction.  Tasks included review of existing product offerings, develop competitive product matrix, outline tactical plan for increasing new business. Analyze existing market size and work with product management to develop next generation product(s). Review all press and marketing communications.  Advised on positioning of company for sale.

 

ECI Telecom Inc.                                                                                                                        1998 to 2000

Director of Sales and Marketing Video Broadband Products Business Unit - ECI Telecom is a manufacturer of Telecom Equipment for Major Long Distance Carriers, CLECS, and RBOCS

Ø      Met or exceeded Business Development Goals for each Quarter. Launched ECI Telecom's Hi-TV™ a Video Over ATM Mutliplexer Product Line in North America.  Defined and established Video Over ATM as the primary solution for Business to Business Broadband service offerings for three major US carriers and one Video Network Service Providers. Established Hi-TV™ as the Service Access Multiplexer for three major TV Networks in the US.  Fostered the development of The Video Services Forum, The Video Services Industry Forum, and VidTranS the conference for professional video transport.  Contracted and supervised Public Relations Firm.  In first year exceeded press coverage of any existing business unit.

 

 

MountainGate - Recognition Concepts Inc.                                                                         1993 – 1997 

Ø      Manager of Broadcast Division - Developed Sales Channel that resulted in successful launch of Video Disk Recorder product line in North America, UK and Japan. Provided revenue to allow RCI to emerge from Chapter 11 in less than 12 months. Exceeded all sales goals set by President. Grew sales from $0 to 5 million dollars annually in two years.  Developed advertising, sales promotion and all marketing materials for end users and channels. Increased magazine editorial coverage by 100%

Ø      First Qtr. Sales for Shared Visionä, a fibre channel Storage Area Network product line, exceeded original projections by 100% ($1 million dollars). Assisted in positioning the company for sale to Lockheed Martin MountainGate.

Ø      Product introductions included; First long format (greater then 30 seconds) Digital Video Disk Recorder First format independent DDR, first DDR with fully editable audio, First HDTV Digital Video Disk Recorder (10 minutes). The HD VDR became the leading HD DDR in Japan for 2 years.  First Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) for broadcast and entertainment industry.

Ø      As Worldwide Marketing Manager, successfully merged RCI distribution channels into the MG distribution program. Trained the MG sales and marketing team on all phases of the entertainment industry. Repositioned MG product lines to meet the requirements of the Broadcast and Entertainment industry. Developed and implemented monthly reseller communications vehicle to improve channel communications.

Ø      Setup partner qualification for the major desktop hardware and software platforms including MAC, SGI and WIN NT.

Ø      Designed and executed 1997 NAB Convention Exhibit for MG including total concept, on stage script outline, and product demonstrations.

Ø      Held number one Sales and Sales Manager spots for 10 years consecutively; Created market niche for VTR in Hollywood resulting in $15 Million dollars in sales; Developed market for first commercially available 2D and 3D graphic system (CGI) for television. Booked first million dollars in orders, without a finished product. Developed and sold the two main components in the first Digital Cinema system (Image Vision). Fostered the development of the special effects and electronic intermediate techniques and business model used by every major studio today; Successful introduction of BTS's first all digital signal processing products. These include the first all digital noise reducer for eliminating noise and grain in film to tape transfers for the emerging home video rental business 1984; Cross-trained sales teams from two mergers (Bell and Howell Telemation and Philips Broadcast equipment); Also developed product marketing plans which lead to the worlds first HD and film resolution film scanners.
